An effective toy model for an ideal one-dimensional nonstationary cavity istaken to be the starting point to derive a fitting markovian master equationfor the corresponding leaky cavity. In the regime where the generation ofphotons via the dynamical Casimir effect is bounded, the master equation thusconstructed allows us to investigate the effects of decoherence on the averagenumber of Casimir photons and their quantum fluctuations through thesecond-order correlation function.
